In the Fall of 1985, Mary Libby
and Douglas Maifeld were
co-workers at Shop-N-Save
Supermarket. We went on our first
date on May 23rd, 1987 to see
"Secret of My Success" at the
movies in Lewiston, Maine.

Doug proposed to Mary on Leap day
February 29th, 1988 in Dixfield,
Maine. She said yes and we were
married on April 29th, 1989 at
St. Athanasius / St. John's
Church in Rumford, Maine.
We bought our first house in
Strathglass Park in Rumford, ME
on December 30th, 1988. We sold it
in the Falll of 2001 because on
May 4th, 2001, we bought our
second house in Rumford Center.

On September 6th, 1991, our first
daughter, Meagan Lea, was born
and on May 26th, 1994, our second
daughter, Rebecca Alexis, was born
both at Rumford Hospital.

As of 2010, Douglas is a 22 year
veteran Police Officer with the rank
of Corporal with the Rumford, ME
Police Department. Mary, who will
be celebrating her 25th year, is
the Produce Manager at the Hannaford
(formerly Shop-N-Save) Supermarket
in Rumford. Meagan is a Freshman at
University of Maine at Orono,
majoring in Athletic Training.
Lastly, Rebecca is a Sophomore
at Mountain Valley High School
and recently completed a trip to
Italy & Greece with People to People.
